Proposal: Oleksiak to Boston

Doing some number crunching I assume Dallas will be forced to leave oleksiak unprotected at time of the expansion draft. Klingberg, hamhuis, Lindell, johns etc I assume are higher priority?

Not sure what Dallas wants/needs, whether it's NHL forwards, prospects, goalies. I assume goalies, so my intial proposal is

To Boston
Jamie oleksiak

To Dallas
Pick one of subban, mcintyre, vladar (i'd probably go mcintyre)
2nd round pick (EDM)
Pick one of mcquaid, morrow, Colin miller (I'd probably go morrow)

Wouldn't mind seeing a 6-7 oleksiak paired with 6-5 Carlo as a shutdown pair of the future which is what sparked this.

The Bruins have a bunch of prospects better than Oleksiak and Rob O'Gara looked better in his limited time in the NHL. They should just give time to O'Gara and keep their guys.

McQuaid, both Millers, Morrow, etc are all better than Oleksiak, he is not a good player.

If acquiring him costs less than bribing Vegas to not take Methot, then I'm down to pay up from Ottawa's POV.

Essentially paying for him now, so that Vegas takes him later (and we Keep Methot). If the cost is a 2nd.. I'd pay a 2nd for Methot, so... sure?

I'd wager Oleksiak's trade value is somewhere in the same range.

That being said, I wouldn't have an issue with Boston taking a flyer on him for cheap, if they had roster space AND an absolute glut of guys already in his 5-6-7 D-man range.

If oleksiak is worth this... Won't we lose him in expansion?

Personally I'm under the impression he's a bust and might clear waivers. Personally I think he's worth a gamble but more as a Milan jurcina or borris valobik type
