Respect your opinion, but I think if that were true the NHL wouldn’t be obsessive about severely penalizing retribution plays on ice.

The NHL seems perfectly ok with a player like Hartman taking out a star player because any attempt to get square when the officials inevitably “miss” it puts your team on the PK.

The league knows who the scum are that deliberately try to injure other players, they just choose to do nothing about it, then punish the teams that take the policing into their own hands.
Don’t forget that the NHL’s partners, the NHLPA believe it is their duty to protect the rats.

I don’t think the NHL does a particularly good job but I don’t suspect it will ever get better until the NHLPA takes anything other than and adversarial role. Yes, that means they have to resolve a conflict of interest but seems important to me.

Similar to Nurse not being aware of his surroundings and puck watching when smacked in the head by Reeves. Bouchard needs to know who is against and be prepared.
I will be surprised if any disciplinary action happens.
Hartman won't be disciplined but it's a dirtbag move. Nobody expects to be hit like that away from the puck with three minutes left in a blowout.

Wouldn't mind Hartman needing to eat through a straw for a few weeks the next time we play Minny. He's been a rat bastard his entire career.

I think we was the guy who took a Bouch bomb to the hand.

Makes me wonder if the attack on Bouch was targeted revenge now. Petty and dumb targeted revenge.

Wouldn't be surprising, or be the first time. That's Hartman for you.

"He said it in kind of a respectful way. 'No disrespect, nothing against you. It had to happen for what happened to Kaprizov there,'" Perfetti told reporters on Tuesday, about Hartman's later admission.

The Wild stopped the media from using the audio clip too, so is pretty much confirmed to be true.

Definitely has a history of being a huge over-reacting POS.

That’s one thing that concerns me with this team. We tend to get outhit by a mile and shy away from the physical stuff. I think we will need to add a bit of toughness at the deadline as we will need to ramp up the physicality come playoff time.

I don’t accidentally drink bleach, I drink it on purpose and have over many years in slowly increasing amounts until my body has built up an immunity, like I’ve done with so many other toxins so that my wife can never poison me, I secretly put arsenic on everything I eat. It takes a strong mind to force this type of evolution in body, unlikely to be achieved by a child like mind stimulated by such things as video games and corny AI avatars.
if we're going after Avatars...happy festivus and with the amount of toxins you've apparently been ingesting, I don't recommend the feats of strength.

you still have terrible taste in music.

It's kind of by choice though. Knob doesn't put a huge emphasis on hitting. He explained his thought process on that pretty thoroughly recently in a recent interview and has touched on it in the past in pressers.

Why risking having Brown in the Line up.
This is the reason we signed him in the first place ...nuclear deterrent kind of things. He needs to get a few games in the regular season anyways and play game one (and smash someone) in game one of the playoffs. You understand why right?
He doesnt need minutes ....well maybe penalty box minutes. But have a goal scored on us is okay as long as he does his job. His job is to create fear--not play hockey.

I wonder if Bouchard just got a bit of burner on the play and actually wasn't hurt that bad, I sure hope so.

Knock on wood. But the Oilers always get so lucky in these situations. An incident looks bad and scary, then our players end up fine.

Especially with Draisaitl, he always looks like he takes a bad beat but he’s a German Machine that never breaks. McD too can absorb a lot of damage and keep on rolling. Hyman too.
