Knew to watch out for dirtbag Hartman out there in a blowout. That was clear interference. He deserves a suspension being a repeat offender and someone needs to cave his face in next game.
I am disappointed that Ekholm didn't give him a viking crosscheck right after. He was right there too. It's 6-1 just take a penalty and smoke him from behind

Revenge!

Draisaitl drives Line 2 and a monster game. Nurse 22:29 toi, 2 points, and quality time on both special teams. Emberson steps up with PK, point and a quality dustup. Pickard calm, certainty in his game.

Best revenge since Patrick Bateman on Paul Allen and his off-white business card with watermark. Seems like it's been the 80's since winning in this city or at least when this killer flick opened. Big statement with full effort through the lineup.

Would have thought so too, but it looks like he says his knee is the problem in the twitter clip when he's writhing in pain on the bench. Could be wrong though as the grimace could distort things, but sure looks like that's what he said.

Possible the issue was less the hit into the net and more Hartman falling on his legs along the boards behind the net.

Shoulder or clavicle was my first thought too, but on the bench it seemed like he was lifting his arms freely...

Ugh, this is pointless I suppose. We'll just have to wait and see. The incoming "lower body" or "upper body" injury update will actually be enlightening for once.

Another great pass by Podkolzin tonight, takes the puck and calmly assesses his options, has patience to spring Bouchard for a breakaway (who then in the most Oiler-ey fashion actually passes out of a freaking breakaway, thankfully Draisaitl finishes it as a goal).

Just like last game Podkolzin set up Ekholm for a great look that hit the post.

These are nice, simple, high IQ plays that too many players on this team don't make enough of and it's also why we should be patient with this player. He has game, it will grow if you nurture it.

This is also why Leon and Connor praise this kid, he has the smarts to make plays like this whereas a Puljujarvi would play like a chicken with its head cut off on the ice.

Not to worry, they’ll bounce back next game with a win and finish in that nice mediocre 17-20th position at the end of the season.
I dont know. Calgary doesn't have their own first anyways. Plus a game like that reinforces how desperately they need a top line center aka Roger McQueen.
Craig must be getting ready to sell part of their soul for draft capital. Both the quackers and Ottawa like listen to 2 early twenties picks and an early second rounder.

Leon is playing some of the best hockey I've ever seen him play and Podz has been the perfect compliment for him. He just knows where to be on the ice to make it easier for 29

Canucks with 3 goals on 14 shots. Obviously bribed the PDO gods again.
They somehow get it done and collect points. THis year they are like the old Wild teams. Boring AF. The most low event hockey team int he league, but they are playing well by not allowing much of anything.

That Lankinen signing was superb. They would be down in the dumps if they did not sign him. He is their MVP next to Hughes

Also, as much as Pulju’s defensive game was lauded by the numbers guys, Podkolzin actually goes out and makes tangibly (or visually, as MacT would say) good defensive plays.
