Too early. Didn’t they get off to a horrendous start last year as well?
I don’t think they’re catching Vegas for the Division but a lot of the Pacific teams are spinning their wheels and still within reach.

Yeah. They’re a playoff team IMO but the Stanley Cup hype was kinda crazy.
I like to shit on them as much as anyone else, but they’re one McDrai streak away from a hot couple months. I wouldn’t count them out just yet.

Yeah at this point in the season, it looks like the Oilers will clearly not make the playoffs. Edmonton needs to fire up the tank and hope they can land a draft pick that actually pans out.

Yep. And yet the Oiler fans absolutely lose it when it's pointed out that he's simply not good enough in his own zone to belong in the NHL. He put up points and still absolutely cost his team with his inability to play defence.
McDavid is already starting to look forward to joining the Toronto Maple Leafs so that he can be on a team that wins.

They won't miss playoffs (most of the division is struggling) but, this start could put them in a big enough hole to where McDrai gets expended earlier than they need to be which obviously would greatly inhibit them when it matters most
