Blackhawks needs a more proven middle six winger and I was wondering if there was any intress in Pouliot. My proposal is Pouliot for TVR and Krüger maybe with some sort of add from the Oilers.

Here's my reasoning. Kruger is probably one of the most overpayed players in the NHL. Yes he brings face off skills and PK but his salary is probably 1m a year to much. TVR is disposable for the Hawks since they have so many d-men they could use but not enough good wingers. I belive this would work cap wise aswell.

Am I completely lost or is there some logic in my thinking?

When Pouliot isn't taking stupid penalties (seems to come in bunches, he'll be good for awhile), he is a valuable asset to have. I wouldn't be interested in those players for him. But I can see why other teams wouldn't be interested in him either. Especially Chicago, bringing in an arguably overpaid player isn't something they can afford to do given the salary of their core.

hawks are not in a position to take on a 4mill contract and move out two cheaper players

I can see Hossa retiring after this year

Hawks won't take Pouliot at 4 million. Other fans might not think much of Kruger but the Hawks do. The front office knows how important he is to the team strategy.

Hossa to Arizona is my guess until the NHL closes that loop hole

Considering hossa isn't injured and hasn't had any sign that hes going to leave the country (even if he did we'd still have his cap hit like ariszona is. arizona is trending upward with young players to resign, so if not a a complete impossibility its very unlikely

Rich coming from a kings fan

The contracts we have gotten out of most all come with dead cap for years to come and will cause us to have a long ugly rebuild cause of the $$$ in dead space we have along with bad contracts we have. All teams are going to do their best to use the loopholes does not mean the idiots running the league should not do a better job at not leaving so many loop holes. They need better lawyers and less past players making decisions for the league.

Poo has been bad to start the year, and the offensive zone penalties have been rage-inducing... However when he's on his game he is a force that can play up and down the lineup.

No need to move him.
