Oilers get a big upgrade in the net, they will have to overpay for it but with McDavid and Drai still there its time to go for it now, Also they keep a veteran backup in smith. Blues free up space to sign Husso. Also get some high draft picks. And a big 3rd or 4th line powerforward in Kassian who will bring extra grit and toughness to the Blues.

wouldn't be surprised if something like this went down. a tad risky for EDM but Binny's history shows he always bounces back and would give them a pretty solid 'tender

Where is the upgrade ? It appears you left him out of the trade . If you are talking Binnington he is no upgrade . Number has declined each year . I would keep Koskinen over him even if their deals were the same length and have our 1st on top of him . The only good part of the deal is Kassian going the other way .
