The Oilers need to burn it to the ground. Out shot 23-3 in the third period? Have some damn pride

I really hope the Kings commit to Gaborik this summer, him and Kopitar over 82 games is going to be very special. Kopi has paid his dues with the Kings, excellent two way player and produces points despite never having an elite winger with him, he deserves to have Gaborik.

I know it was against the Oilers, but that was fun to watch those two.

Last game of the season on Saturday is going to be interesting just to see how the forward lines look. Today we saw:

Gaborik-Kopitar-Williams
Nolan-Richards-Carter
King-Stoll-Brown
Clifford-Lewis-Toffoli
Pearson

I much prefer Carter at RW over C. He wasn't generating as many chances when he was handling the responsibilities of a center. He had a few good chances today and some nice rushes from the wing. They just need a better LW than Nolan, though I did like his hustle.

Nothing more needs to be said about the play of the top line. Stoll's line has been playing very well of late as well and I really like how the fourth line played tonight. Toffoli adds offense and Clifford and Lewis were quite active physically all over the ice.

Have to also add that I was impressed by Campbell's calm demeanor today. Didn't seem out of place on NHL ice and didn't make any mistakes. Voynov has also started to pick up his play and hopefully he has another big playoff year like we saw from him in 2013.

I think Gaborik will stay. His agent, Ron Salcer, is based in LA and it's well documented how they tried to get a deal done in the past with the Kings when Gaborik was a UFA.

He seems to have gelled quite nicely with Kopitar and looks like he's having fun playing with a legit #1 center. He's made so much money over the course of his career that I can't see him pulling a Ryan Smyth and chasing the money just to cash in on the final years of his career.

Gaborik is probably one of the most talented forwards we have. Probably the most.

I disagree on Carter at RW. After they got Gaborik and Carter was moved off Kopitar's line his game fell off in a big way, when he was moved to center his production and overall play went up. Richards is just not capable of playing at a second line level right now and is going to drag Carter down if they keep them together. I think Carter and Toffoli should be 2/3 of the 2nd line and then they can either go with Pearson or if they want a more veteran presence they can go with King or Brown. Either way, that is the biggest question going into the SJ series, whether the Kings can get a few goals from someone other than the 1st line.

Four games against the Oilers this year, the Kings went 4-0.

Kings outscored the Oilers 12-3
Kings outshot the Oilers 186-86
Kings had shot totals of 48, 40, 50, and 48 shots

This is how you beatdown a bad team

This. I do congratulate Jones on his shutout, it was well earned but at the same time could Edmonton have made it any easier on the Kings? The Oilers had no effort, they weren't even trying to win board battles 3/4 of the time and I don't know if I seen more than a handful of 'sort of' hits. That team needs to see a big name traded and several character guys brought in to kick those kids into gear. Zero heart, zero passion tonight from that team.

I missed most of the game, so im sorry its already been discussed, but is Pearson hurt or just a rest day?

A game like this just shows how far they are from being relevant.

That was total domination.

It's easy to dominate when the other team doesn't show up.

Pathetic non-effort by the Oilers. I can't blame the fans for booing. They paid good money to see ****.

Gaborik is going to be HUGE in the playoffs for the Kings. Brings a dynamic they've missed for a while.

Still worried about Richards. The guy regressed almost to Colin Fraser's level bad. Gaborik addition won't be enough if Richards plays like that further on in the playoffs. Even Carter looks lost now playing with MR. Not to mention he is now the only minus player on the team.

He's on the fourth line and that is where he belongs.
