Once the word gets out and the kids begin to fully understand the scope and value of what these NCAA D1 programs have to offer, the competition for roster spots is likely to intensify with more and more kids looking to commit early to secure a spot.

Their facilities are amazing and light years ahead of what OHL facilities look like. I could definitely see players leaving for the NCAA before they finish their OHL career unfortunately. Most OHL teams don't have the money to compete with the NCAA hockey programs.

As has been stated so many times before, there is no rush to do so. There is no age limit or restrictions on NCAA. The schools will still be there when they are 20 and 21 as they are at 19.

Their facilities are amazing and light years ahead of what OHL facilities look like. I could definitely see players leaving for the NCAA before they finish their OHL career unfortunately. Most OHL teams don't have the money to compete with the NCAA hockey programs.

The big programs have amazing facilities - not every NCAA facility is new/loaded/"pro" level. There are many that are no better/worse than the average CHL as well. I played NCAA (not hockey) but my oldest played NCAA at a mid-tier level program, my younger played in the Q. I can tell you the work out gear, practice facilities, buses are all pretty equal.

I will be interested to see when\if NCAA teams start plucking kids out of USport. If their facilities outshine the O, wouldn’t a couple of years at BU be enticing for a first year U player in Canada?

After being in Sudbury for a couple of winters I'm sure Miami looked quite appealing, lol.
