Gaudette, Robertson Malgin are all going to get a good look for that 2nd line spot. They know what Kerfoot can bring so he’s always a fall back, and Engvall might get a look in the last couple of preseason games if someone hadn’t grabbed the ring by then.

I'm not expecting Engvall to play any preseason games

Feel sorry for the man. I get them too. I use Rizatriptan + an opiate to fix. But it really helps to lay down too, something Nylander can't do during a game.

What if we decide to really split up the offence?
Like say:

Bunting Matthews Jarnkrok
Kerfoot Tavares Marner
Malgin Gaudette or Holmberg Nylander
ZAR Kampf NAK

I would even go as far as trading Kerfoot to free up cap space and Engvall can take that spot when he's healed. For the time being maybe Steeves or Robertson?

Regular top 2 lines back together today, with Malgin getting the first look with Tavares and Willy.

I'm all on board with either Leafs 3 Amigos or Leafs 3 X $11 mil players all on their own lines, but it seems the first one is more likely.

Leafs feel compelled to play Marner with an elite #1C, but I'd like to see him carry his own line, because at his salary he should be able to, and also make a more dangerous top 9. It seems that Nylander carrying his own line seems as far and coach Keefe is willing to experiment.

While Marner's elite playmaking skills does prop up our elite centres in return giving more bang for your cap buck, they're also capable to perform at high levels without him.

Benn paired with Mo is no real surprise. He's likely the #8D to start the year.

And tbh he's no worse than Boosh.

It’s looks like Kral is the 10th on the depth chart. Happy how he’s developed. Posters that watch the Marilies have they used him as a PK down there?
