I consider the fact that the thread was really quiet a good thing.

Me too, but I'd rather people direct all of their panic over here, instead of creating multiple threads cluttering up the front page panicking about individual things.

Or maybe I'm just a "Panic Enabler"? Potatoe-potahtow.

This team is going to be worse than the 2010-11 one.

Cowen is a bust (on an albatross contract if the internal budget is to be believed)
Michalek is washed up
Neil is washed up
Kassian is terrible
Zibanejad can't seem to earn any ice time, despite looking pretty good

If they're going to make this a bridge year where they let the kids play, they should do it right.

Call up:
F Petersson
F Da Costa
F Hoffman
D Wideman

Send Down (or trade if anyone is stupid enough):
D Cowen

Trade/launch into the sun:
F Michalek
F Neil
F Kassian

Michalek, Greening outta here please. Neil should play less, and Kassian shouldn't play at all. Cowen should play less, we should still be patient with him though.

Top six F to replace Milo(not very easy to replace...) + second pair PMD = SUCCESS.

Scratch Greening for a game or two. It worked last year, and we could get more out of him that way then trade.

Michalek at least has value

Don't know why they haven't sat Cowen. He's been so bad this year.
Rewatch the Pittsburgh series last year or the Rangers series the year before. Cowen was on ice for nearly half the goals against and a significant portion of them were directly attributable to ****** decision making.

Cowen is bad and we should all feel bad.

Seriously, maybe it is time to blow it up all over again

Which players would you keep?

Lehner, Turris, Ryan, Karlsson, Zibanejad

That's it?

I consider the fact that the thread was really quiet a good thing.

lol you don't really need a panic thread to see it in almost every thread... The Sens were supposed to be elite!

I'm a Sens fan but I can't help and find all of this very entertaining. Sports fans tears are probably the most delicious.

This team is going to be worse than the 2010-11 one.

Cowen is a bust (on an albatross contract if the internal budget is to be believed).

Sens finished 32-40-10 with a -58 differential in 2010-11

They're 7-7-4 in 18 games this year

So jury is still out

And Cowen earns 1.5 this year. Hardly an "albatross contract"

Trade Spezza if you can get something good.

Trade Greening, if no takers waive him

Trade Neil

Trade Michalek

Send Cowen to Bingo

Trade Anderson

Trade Conacher if you can get something good

Trade/Waive Kassian

Yeah!

If I'm GM and Coach this is what I do with what we have:

Michalek - Spezza - Conacher
MacArthur - Turris - Ryan
Greening - Smith - Zibanejad
Hoffman - Pageau - Stone

(Neil, Kassian, Condra can all sit for a bit).

Karlsson - Methot
Weircoch - Phillips
Corvo/Boro - Gryba

Sit Cowen for a few days.

Rationale:

The Spezza and Turris lines aren't THAT bad, imo. Our secondary scorings needs to step it up, and for that to happen right now, they need a shake up. Smith line with Greening and Zib will be pretty speedy and gritty. The Pageau line will also be pretty quick (cept for Stone, though he's got a good shot). I think that Pageau line could turn some heads, especially with Hoffman throwing his body around and Stone in front of the net ready to bury that rebounds.

I know we on the budget and staff, but this team will really need some trade.
Even minor one, to put some fire under their *****. This Gryba in Corvo out, Wier in Boro out stuff are not getting us anywhere. Calling up Pageau, Hoffman or Stone are not make us contender eather. Our core need some better payers. To bad our management is not agressive as many others. But again-Budget:shakehead
