Chicago selects from North Bay Battalion, center Matthew Struthers.

Since the trade that saw him leave Owen Sound, Struthers has been lights out. Putting up 27 points in his last 3o games and just over a PPG as he continued his strong play in the post-season. His 23 ES goals ties him at 4th among U18s in the OHL. We hope his effective play in all three zones along with his size and ability to drive the net can translate to a valuable bottom six pivot down the road.

Edmonton Oilers are very pleased to select Jerry Turkalainen. Can someone please pm next guy, I'm at work.
I've seen him make a few real nifty plays in the Liiga this year, he can be super dynamic. He's a flyweight though, almost shockingly small, even Byron probably legit outweighs him by a solid 20 pounds right now. A true boom or bust project.

With the 165th overall pick, the Kings are proud to select, from Trinec in the Czech Extraliga, Michal Kvasnica.

"After a very strong D-1 season in the Czech junior league, Kvasnica was loaned to a team in Czech2 league where he had a solid season, even getting to play in the top league for the playoffs and then the U18 for his country, where he managed 4 points in 7 games. A big winger, Kvasnica is fast and tough to knock off the puck, while also playing a good 2-way game for his age. He does have some offensive skill, mainly a solid wrist shot, but he is still a long term project for us at this point."

20-Bode Wilde
51-Jake Wise
82-Ryan O'Reilly
113-Martin Fehérvary
144-Simon Johansson
165-Michal Kvasnica
175-???

I'm just surprised there were enough Russians to go around given how many picks you had.

I like Morozov, Iskhakov, Zhuravlyov, Zhilyakov and the two Belarussians Sharangovich and Yeryomenko. I don't think that's very much, I probably have more Swedes on my list and an equal amount of Czechs

Yeah but your list has like 1,200 names on it, so it doesn't mean much.

the pace has slowed down considerably lately.

I know it's usually the case after the first few rounds but it would be great to finish it at some point.
