Yeah, I don't really like doing a mock with unequal pick distributions. I think it would be more fun to just have each team with their original 7 picks.
We should just all turn in a list ( all start with the same excel file) run the draft according to BPA, the draft would be done in hours and after we could see who had the best list vs. the actual draft or few year later see who had the best list. That way even guy that don’t have many pick or good pick can have something to play for because there are teams that had pick 5 time while other hadn’t yet. Those team will look great but the the guy without any pick might of have taken even better player if had the chance... just a idea

We could do a speed mock with each team having all their picks, in the week leading up to draft day. Only pick trades allowed.

Jabronis who don't pick in the allotted time get auto'ed, no extra time. Get BAHL'ed twice and someone active takes your spot.

Just reduce the time before auto, like 3-4 hours. Itll be fine imo.

Yeah and people can always comeback and change their auto-pick, at this point the players are all over the place anyway.

Or you guys can start a new draft for the few weirdos that have time to make draft lists with hundreds of names.

We did that last year, more or less, for the habs picks, but I think your idea is better. We should post a list of however many names, and whoever's the highest available on the list you posted is your pick for the habs, absent a draft day exception.

Posting the whole list gives a better indication of your ranking ability, as well. We all mis-rank players, and with only a handful of samples, people can look way better than they really are, or way worse.

Withe the 138th pick the St. Louis Blues select from Elk River HS RW Jackson Perbix

GM Says"He's a big body winger who can play a physical game or a finesse one. His brother Nick went to St. Cloud but Jackson is committed to Notre Dame although he may take a season in Green Bay of the USHL. He was the youngest player to compete in the American Top Prospects game and captained his school. "
