Sleeper pick right dere.

I don't know how to scout a guy playing such shit tier hockey. Like, should it look like an old bruce lee film, where he's just crushing and endless swarm of idiots with dekes and physicality?

This is why I try to keep some restraint when comparing him. Like he looks good but he's not roasting fools BBQ style, ala McDavid.

What I do know, is you don't notice much of a drop-off against much tougher competition, atleast it's not a case where he looks like a different player against USHL and Div-1 teams. He does need to get stronger however, as he got pushed over along the boards by college guys. Though that's pretty normal.

Which games did he play with the U18 team?

He played against Central Illinois, Omaha, Michigan State, Darthmouth and Harvard. Though only the first three I could find for some reason. And there's the all-american prospects game.

Were these all on hockeytv? Or is the all-american prospects game on dat dere youtubez?

I saw the first three and the prospects game on hockeytv. Darthmouth and Harvard games I couldn't find, though they might've been on some other channel.

Prospects game was on YT for a while, don't know if it got taken down.

I was nervous I wouldn't get him, especially with the comments in this thread, but the Kings are happy to select Jake Wise from the USNTDP.

There are many things in Jake's game that we feel will translate well in the NHL, namely his speed, tenacity and playmaking skills. We feel like at the very worst, his vision and passing skills alone could make him a PP weapon in the NHL, but his defensive awareness and high motor should make him a complete player for us. Going to Boston University where he'll be a key cog of the offense should help him develop into a top 6 player at the next level.

The Hammer
Of course Jake was picked right before me...

At 52nd overall Toronto selects Jakub Lauko from Pirati Chomutov...

Jakub-lauko.jpg

Date of Birth: March 28th 2000 (18)
Place of Birth: Praha, Czech Republic
Ht: 6'1" Wt: 185lbs
Shoots: Left
Position: LW

Lauko is most effective on the rush, where he can utilize his foot speed and excellent acceleration. He has shown in the past that he has offensive talent, we only hope that he can continue to find it on a more consistent basis. If he can bulk up and work on his physical game he can become a very effective winger in today's NHL.

Draft so far.
25th: Jared McIsaac
52nd: Jakub Lauko
