Wait... Wtf just happened? Turned my attention elsewhere after the TD. Did the penalty negate the TD? Don't the offense usually get a "free" play when the opposing team goes offsides? Can't you decline that penalty anymore/is the play automatically blown dead after the flag is thrown? I did see this happen loads in an earlier game where it pretty much negated a touchdown or big play as well, but I thought that was just the refs ****ing up?

Penalties assessed to receiving team on kickoffs are pretty stupid with the new rules. They should be able to apply it after the return.
