Finally went to see “Us”. Pretty mediocre I should have waited for it to be On Demand
Yep.

Shazam was pretty good.

However, there have been very few movies that I’ve had the urge to immediately go back and rewatch in quite some time.

The year the first Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises came out, I went back to see each multiple times.

Checked out the new Night Shift space at Lovejoy Wharf yesterday before the game. They did a great job.

Crazy to think how far they’ve come.

The only movie I’ve seen twice in theaters is Miracle. I’m ok with that.

I enjoyed last years spring/summer releases

This year I’m committed to End Game, Godzilla, John Wick 3, and Toy Story 4. Want to see Pet Semetary and Hellboy as well.

The gulf between the critics score and audience score on Us really should have registered. Pretty pissed w the critics

IMO, it wasn't half the movie that "Get Out" was. And, maybe I had my analytic hat on, but I knew pretty much exactly what was going on, and figured out the exactly what happened really early. I was actually more surprised by the beginning than by the rest of the movie. I hadn't read anything about it - I'd only seen the preview - so I was pleasantly surprised to be thrust into the world of Rubik's Cubes and Karma Chameleon in the beginning.

A worthwhile watch, and I don't completely regret going to the theater for it...but I was expecting a little more, especially with "Get Out", which I loved.

I was definitely entertained by Us.

It had me laughing out loud several times.

That ending though.

Do I need to watch the previous Godzilla to get into the series? I watched the latest King Kong movie but not Godzilla because I heard it wasn’t great and Godzilla isn’t in it much.

Shazam was ok, I enjoyed it but it was slow in some parts. There was a nice surprise that left me wanting more.
