I'm happy if it isn't Moreno.Damn bruh they must really want J-Ram
Gurriel + Biggio + prospects is a really heavy price to pay but i guess you do it with the knowledge of a) J-Ram is taking Biggio's spot in the infield anyway and b) Gurriel while solid, is fairly replaceable. That's a move Cleveland can probably justify as that lets them get a bit of actually decent depth for their lineup.
Who takes Gurriel's spot in the lineup then? Grichuk? another signing?
You can sign Conforto and there is another lefty bat who can be spelled by Grichuk when facing a tough lefty.Damn bruh they must really want J-Ram

they arent playing around eitherGod that Dodgers lineup is disgusting;
Turner
Taylor
Freeman
Muncy
The older, slower Turner
Smith
Betts
Bellinger
Pollock
Gurriel's contract makes him extra valuable. Especially to a team like the Clevalandians. And maybe especially more if they really want to go after Correa.I'm happy if it isn't Moreno.
Gurriel, Biggio and Martinez would be fine with me.
He overplayed his hand and his market dried up.That's not that bad for player of Freeman caliber

If we aren’t getting another outfielder then keeping Gurriel Jr. is a must just because of how much Grichcuk sucks. Getting Ramirez and then playing Grichcuk every day would just make it not worth it. Gurriel and Biggio both have 4 war potential. That could be 8 WAR going out the door... Grichcuk would become more of a regular then he already is and he is 1 WAR at this point let’s be honest. Are we even sure Ramirez+Grichcuk out performs Gurriel +Biggio? Even if Ramirez is 6 WAR, Grichcuk is so bad (1 war?) for a total of 7-8 WAR it would negate all of Ramirez’s surplus value so we would need another outfielder to replace Gurriel to make it worth it. There’s a risk we could actually be worse if Biggio and Gurriel have big seasons and that’s not even considering all the control you give up. Maybe Gurriel and Biggio totalling 7-8 WAR is a stretch but it’s not that crazy either. Something like Biggio+Kirk+ lower level prospect would be better. I’m not over paying because we don’t have too. If you sign someone like Conforto then it’s a different story but if we aren’t getting another outfielder keep Gurriel Jr.Gurriel's contract makes him extra valuable. If someone would have told you this time last year that Kevin Smith was the 2nd biggest piece in a trade to fill our hole at 3rd base the likely response would have been something in the realm in why not just resign Travis Shaw to play 3rd base because you're not getting anything for Kevin Smith.
Shoutout to the player development staff for figuring out whatever the hell was going on with him if only for 1 year to get his value back up

That Dodgers lineup is the logical conclusion if someone said "what if I could play diamond dynasty, but in real life?"
There's no weakness. It has speed, power, utility and pretty much everyone there is at least a solid defender, balance in handedness with Muncy, Freeman and Bellinger hitting from the left side.
It's as beautiful as it is terrifying. Oh and this is after they let a stud like Corey Seager walk.
Edit: oh, the Dodgers still have 5 top 100 prospects too. I call shenanigans.
