I think they Jays capitalized on Hoglund's riser status pre-injury led to speculation that he could have been a top-10 pick.
But it's always dicey with TJ surgery. He was noted as being a more of a command over (still good but not elite) stuff guy, and command is usually the last thing to come back post TJS (if ever).
Great prospect and a tough one (but necessary) to give up when you get a piece like Chapman, but ultimately he has very wide range of outcomes - especially if his calling card of command doesn't come back.
