I just want to say that this man is undefeated;

And if you need to figure out where his source is, take a look at his jersey and then remember where our President and GM came from.

We still need a left hand bat. Rosario has been mentioned, now with Schwarber gone. Really hope we don't keep pursuing Villar. He would be a big mistake.

Joel Sherman said on MLB Network that the Jays pivoted to Chapman and that's why Schwarber signed with the Phillies. Said the Jays prioritized the defensive upgrade i choose to get Chapman.

Sounds like we could have had Schwarber if we wanted him.

Can I daydream that means we are going to land Freeman for 1B as a "defensive upgrade" ?

I like Schwarber's bat but he wasn't a fit for the team defensively. I like having a rotating DH too.

If Chapman was a lefty he would be a perfect fit but the Jays still get a very good hitter and more importantly, a great defensive 3B.

Wonder what they do for a lefty bat now.

Schwarber is off the market, Freeman really doesn't make sense now since you can't stick Vladdy at third. Unless if they do something wild and split him and a signed Freeman between there and DH?

Thank you mr. Smith for having a rebound year.
Logue and Snead are typical A’s talents, blocked and cheap with a chance at average in a big park.
This is actually the kind of volume deal you suggest on a message board, and people usually scoff.
Not much to complain about, Gunnar’s the big piece and he’s a bit away anyway.
Kinda love it.

Even though you could've signed Schwab for free, I'm happy we got Chapman.

Chapman is the safer bet, where I feel like Schwab could become a horrible contract...even with his power.

Even if his offence doesn’t full rebound, Chatman’s defence is going to be a massive help for our pitchers. I much prefer this to Schwarber or Freeman, because this team needs DH flexibility for when Springer needs days off in the field.
