The sens are getting a bit manic. Cardiac kids were all about run and gun offense. Pesky kids were all about possession and defence. Now we need offense again.

We'd need Spezza, Karlsson and Michalek to come back strong. Plus, Zibanejad and Silfverberg would have to take big leaps forward. Presuming that Alfie isn't in the lineup (which is what I'll be doing until he signs).

2011-2012 saw us score plenty of goals on the back of healthy seasons for Michalek and Spezza

Chances are next season won't be as good as that one (we were 4th in goals scored) but with the developing rookies I think it's safe to assume we won't be bottom of the pack like this year either

A top 6 player would be really nice but since Melnyk is apparently short on cash we're not likely to get a good one (I'm very skeptical about Briere on both getting him and if he's still a top 6 player) if at all

Let's hope we can acquire one via trade during the season like we did with Turris
