Like as Martin Saint’s cheeks redden from Schuffle’s clap bomb scores,
And Hab’s highlife minits* in la belle saison plummet to their end;
Despite our D’s flagging speed and an offseason chugging s’mores,
In sequent toil with our deep n’ crusty forwards, find balance and do contend.
Allen’s half-baked stunts and Gallagher’s pate, sheening with photons of light,
Collectively lumber to senescence, wherewith being crown'd,
Crooked plays, soft sticks reflect their whoreson gutless flights,
And kid Caulfield himself doth now their natural gifts propound.
Time hath no grip upon the flourish set on the Jet’s youth
And omits the parallels in these beauties brow,
Farmhand, Iafrate, Perfecto reflect the rarities of nature's truth,
And in Helldog there’s naught offensive for his pads to plow:
And yet to times in hope this mighty verse shall stand,
Praising our team’s worth despite let petit gar’s overworked glands.

Thanks @Aggie204

I almost made a run to the basement fridge - home of many cool libations. :)

Here's one more, because Saturday.

At times the Jets are so good that I’m hopping.
But clenching sends my vasculature popping.
I yell and I curse,
No elegant verse,
But Perfecto helps out with apples dropping.

The Habs aren't necessarily the free spot on the bingo card they may have been in previous seasons and they do have some exciting young players. Too bad that Dach is out actually and of course no Carey Price who is on my list of favorite all time goaltenders.

These are not the Habs of my youth that I used to cheer religiously on Wednesday and Saturday nights where they rarely ever lost. No Dryden, no Savardian spinorama, no Stork, Cournoyer, Lafleur, LeMaire, no pocket Rocket who to me always looked like he was 80 years old lol but skated like a 20 year old and even further back with "Le Gros Bill" my grandmothers favorite player who I think she had illicit dreams about:D .

Funny anecdote. On Hockey Night In Canada nights my grandmother, all 4 foot 11 inches of her became an entirely different person, hollering at the ref on the tv if he or the linesmen missed a call and if some poor unfortunate soul decided to call on the phone or show up at the door during game broadcasts my grandmother would say "Merde, someone wants to die, all in french of course. I would howl on those occasions when it would happen and eagerly wait to see what would happen.

Damn posting this made me feel so old.

If there is a game during the season where we must lose I'm least upset when it's against the Habs.

Go Jets Go. Play a strong game and leave Montreal with no injuries.

Nice GDT @Aggie204 . Ok Jets let's keep the win streak going and win our 4th in a row tonight. I wonder if some of the Montreal fans have finally gotten over the Scheifele hit yet..........Seems some have not yet.

Oh that poor little sweetie. My heart goes out to her but at the same time it's so foxing funny that you can't help but laugh.

I wonder how she'd do with a snow brush.....

Oh, ya, and GO JETS. I work for a company that has out National HQ in Montreal, and I deal with them all the time. A big win for the Jets tonight will make my next week at work much more fun and let me poke more fun at the Quebecos! I may take the week off if we lose so I don't have to hear from them non-stop about it.
