Confirmed Trade: [NYR/VAN] JT Miller, Erik Brannstrom, Jackson Dorrington for Filip Chytil, Victor Mancini, 2025 1st round pick (top 13 protected)

JT clashed with Pettersson, wait till he gets a daily eyeful of Zib.

Still, don’t hate it for the Rangers as much as that pains me. Chytil is too much of a risk health-wise to be the centerpiece of this deal IMO, but if he stays healthy he should be good for Van.

Not really... they now have a gigantic hole to fill offensively as Miller was by far their highest scoring forward the past 3 years.
I think the theory is supposed to be Petterson and Boeser and others filling that gap now that they don't have the drama pressing them down. We'll see if it works out that way.

Getting rid of Miller might make the team better.

I have to imagine no one else was offering more for him and if they were then Alvin and co should be fired.

You can't just keep him with everything that's been said.

Chytil has 2 more goals than Miller this year.

People overreacting like usual on HF.

Everyone needs to wait and see if Miller gets back to his 80+ points a year play, or not.

Then we gotta see if this gets Pettersson playing better, otherwise thar contract is a f***ing anchor.

When you've got a real problem on your hands, your hands are tied how you deal with it. I think Canucks did the best they could to get rid of the problem, even though it means losing a great player in Miller. Let's see if Miller can propel the Rangers to the playoffs.

I think the Nucks did ok on this. They're giving up the best player, so it's a loss, but all three of the pieces they're getting are helpful. Health is an issue, but Chytil was breaking out this year and I like Mancini quite a bit

I'll add this; for the Rangers, he's a project, but don't sleep on Dorrington. He's a tank

Decent move for the Rangers, I’m sure Miller will bounce back in NY but he hasn’t been great for us this year. For the Canucks it’s nice to have the locker room issues cleared up now. But NYR got the better player Canucks freed themselves from Miller. Miller for every season but this one has been an absolute beast for us

I like how quickly it flipped from "Miller is a 100 point player that will get a massive return" to "his contract will be an anchor" literally as soon as Miller got traded.

It's a bad return for the Canucks. The situation basically guaranteed the return would be bad, but it's still a bad return.
