Confirmed with Link: NYR officially announces coaching staff changes

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. This may have been mentioned in another thread, but the NYR announced changes to the coaching staff. The addition on Jim Midgley likely stems from Gerard Gallant's Atlantic Canada connections. Steve Smith has been an NHL Assistant Coach on and off for a number of years.

Other than possibly maybe doing summer hockey school stuff together .... I don't see any Gallant / Midgely connection where they shared a bench or organization and ditto that for Kelly . Also of note...Kelly served under AV on two different clubs as an assistant .
