Jesus Christ ADA is so f***ing insignificant to this franchise

Our organization was f***ing ruined yesterday people still have to bring up this scumbag like he matters even one iota to anything right now

News flash he was available for nothing and not one team in the entire league would have anything to do with that worthless scumbag

Yeah you damn right I f***ing hate him
I rarely agree with you, but I agree with you.

It is ironic that these guys banned ADA which perhaps cost them the playoffs and in return they lost their jobs. 123 que the ADA haters.
How smooth does your brain have to be to continue to post about TDA? he’s so f***ing irrelevant at this point it’s laughable. How overrated he was and how sad his Peasant followers continue to try to make him relevant by posting about things that have almost nothing to do with him lmao.

Yes you're right. That's exactly what I said,

I guess we'll never know, but Hajek won't be here next year. The point being ADA or Hajek would have minimal impact on defensive differential but ADA would certainly have better offensive differential even if they are a wash on defense.

Lol the organization was "ruined"? For all you know Drury will be better at the job than JD/Gorton were.

Again if they made the playoffs this thread doesn't exist. Obviously he isn't the entire team but he is certainly better than Hajek. We were very close this year to making it before the 2 games vs the Islanders.

OK, here’s a name I heard today for a potential Ranger coach if a change is made.

Bob Hartley

Coached Drury in Colorado. Has won Stanley Cup, Gagarin Cup, QMJHL and AHL

Don’t shoot the messenger
Ugh. I'm sorry, but I don't want anything to do with the guy that hasn't done anything in the NHL in over two decades, especially considering just exactly who he had on that Avs team. Everything since his Avs tenure has been a complete failure, and it's not like he has the track record of showing he can push a team to take the next step.

Sorry, I know you said don't shoot the messenger

We're sitting here trying to piece together the bits of information we have in order to find the logical, level-headed thought process that went into firing JD and Gorton. But like people who have had experience with Dolan have said, he can be prone to irrationally lashing out at people who don't agree with him or criticize his stance.

It feels like we're looking for something (logic) that just isn't there with Dolan's management style, and we're stuck with him. The boss isn't always right, but he always the boss.

thats the problem with "the boss". he lashes out because he's a coddled idiot who never heard the word no growing up, and has no concept of a patient and strategic approach to anything in life. he's a 60-something toddler. you don't need to know anything about him other than his comically thin skinned reactions to any public criticism to know exactly who and what he is. a cursory knowledge of his business history tells you all you need to know about his acumen. if not for inheriting a monopoly he'd have probably lost everything by now.

certainly all indications are drury is well thought of around the league, well prepared, and may prove to be excellent in the role. i don't at all want to take away from his qualifications. but the fact remains no matter how many puff pieces the media members more beholden to info access than reporting put out, this was a rash reaction to jd and gorton being annoyed by another rash emotional outburst of his, and trying to save some face for the organizational standing within the league. if this moron had slightly more than the iq of a handball he'd have seen the benefit to come from allowing the hockey execs who are far more involved and respected in league circles to separate church and state if you will. they aren't whiny pissants, they surely were annoyed with the decision. but you don't call parros out by name like that. you don't call for the suspension you wanted. they knew the issues this team had - but you say those things internally, you solve those problems quietly in the summer and you make your point next year. walk softly and carry a big stick. but as the owner, he can make that statement - it wasn't smart and he needed to own it though - if it didn't come from the hockey side of the house its just an owner being pissed off thats much easier to navigate. everything he said to brooks today was hilarious. it was about exit interviews...are you kidding me? we were going on the road? all the way to boston? he was on point about needing to see more togetherness, but you don't think jd and gorton saw that...thats a roster move or 2 and maturity from the youth. but my favorite, maybe the least self aware statement of all time, was about how everyone needs to be together etc ... days after blindsiding his front office, who unanimously have led one of the more impressive rebuilds in terms of speed and volume of talent acquisition the nhl has seen, with a petty and over the top statement. drury hopefully does extraordinarily well and this just becomes just an ugly moment in history. but don't for a second believe this drivel from media sheeple communicating it on his behalf that he'd been considering these changes, that there was any thought and tact to his decision making. this is who he is, this is who he'll always be. insecure, reactive, entitled, and the biggest obstacle this team is facing in building a long term, successful, cup winning organization.

Honestly sad to say I’m glad the season is almost over. Need some time away. After having time to get over the initial shock of it all, the only thing I am left with is disgust. Makes me feel less like this is New York’s team and more like it’s the toy of a spoiled, rich, psychopath. I hope this thought/feeling fades with time. Just has to be one of the darkest moments for the franchise.

Panarin getting ragdolled with no response was the final straw. Dolan covets his super stars. In all honesty he was right. That was unacceptable, JG constructed this soft team

My eyes seem strained

I've tried to be positive about this move, but if they don't also get Quinn, they're drunk.

The coach is more responsible for the issues Dolan has cited than anyone.

I come in peace but what's the rangers moves this off-season? (in their own opinion)

Dolan I don't think canned #1 and #2 to have Drury come in and make minor roster moves or changes? I feel he sent a message of "fix it and accelerate it" which I think most would agree NYR were on the right track and now this runs the risk of Dolan going full Knicks on the Rangers

There can't be any way he stays. We had a back to back the day they fired JD and JG and we're done on Saturday. This is the only reason he's still here.

I think Dolan is fairly satisfied with the talent on the roster. Something's just rotten with this team. The veterans have declined heavily and have resorted to lazy play. Even Panarin, who is still effective, is cheating way too much. And from the play-in against Carolina to the recent do-or-die games against the Islanders, they've looked like a high school team in every single one of the few games with meaning they've played.

If I had to guess, the issue seems to me to be that Quinn is a huge fake tough guy (Giants fans here will remember Ben McAdoo). He talks a good game about work and accountability, but he just arbitrarily shits on kids and veterans do what they want regardless of any actual results.

I think Dolan wants to change the standards of what players are going to be asked of, and as far as I know, JD and Gorton were both huge Quinn guys.

All that being said, the only thing that makes sense is Saturday being Quinn's last game. If he returns, then I really couldn't tell you what Dolan wants.

Learning Quinn is one of the higher payed coaches in NHL puts Dolan's ire in a different perspective. No way he comes back.

I'm wondering if we're starting to get even his biggest supporters to see what an absolute clown the guy is. As I said, seems like a nice enough guy should find another line of work.

I think he's a good enough college coach.

The culture in the NCAA for the most part is your freshmen and sophomores carry luggage and you lean on your juniors and seniors. The former become the latter after a certain number of years, and so on and so forth.

The NHL just isn't that simple, and I think he's created an environment of kids who legitimately don't know what they're supposed to do because nothing gets them on the ice, and vets who need a serious slap in the face.

I don’t think you’re taking into account how many veteran posters are just flat out abandoning the boards these days.
