You don't need an off hand rumor from a friend of a friend to know this core has no leadership and the locker room is an absolute disaster.

The Rangers since the lockout up until very recently have always been a model franchise and at the heart of that was a very solid locker room, from Jagr and Straka and Shanny to Gomez and Drury to Naslund to Cally and Dubi and Stepan and Richards and Girardi and Staal and Brassard and Zuccarello and above all HENRIK LUNDQVIST.

They were able to keep SEAN AVERY in line, Tony DeAngelo and his trolling on Twitter was small fries compared to Avery.

The thing that doesn't make sense is why the f*** is Quinn still here?

Where were these Anti-Asian comments made? This is my first time hearing about it lol, never seen any comment about homosexuals or blacks either. Where were those? The remark when he was a kid was about a European teammate being a soft Euro. I am Hispanic btw

If you spend 30 seconds checking the replies on Twitter or Reddit to any post about DeAngelo you'll see the politically motivated backlash, which I'm sure is why teams are afraid of touching him in this current climate.

Meh, if there's a place for Tom Wilson in the NHL I think there sure as hell should be one for Tony DeAngelo

Thank you thank you thank you!

Hire Mess as coach. If HF is against it, it must be the right move. Mess knows the Rangers were built to be gutless from the top down. Well guess what? Drury wasn’t a pansy and neither is Messier. Can’t build a pond hockey team to compete for a Cup. Some don’t want to wake up and see it.

As per @NYP_Brooksie, James Dolan is expected to court Mark Messier as his choice for the next president and of the #NYR

Suffering people can't have nice things. Gorton was the best that has happened to this organization since... $ather. Not difficult to be better, but still. Messier? I'm feeling the clump in my throat coming up.

There's no place for either of them....yet here we are.

As much as I think the Quinn blaming is beyond what’s reasonable, if the same guy, Quinn or not, is still behind the bench next year after the GM and president were fired for “underachieving” - that’s just crazy.

Messier sounds like a shell of himself, looking to make money here somehow. Dolan going to lowball a offer to him and he'd take it at this stage.

Your defending of him is bordering on creepy, dude.

I'm talking about his comments about Asians, which is something that has come up as well. Don't for a moment think it's not just comments about homosexuals and black people.

There's a reason no one wanted to touch him this year or even have him around their franchises.

Trust me. This is not the guy to go to bat for, even if you happen to like his politics.
You think maybe giving ADA the contract in the first place and then basically firing him a few months later was part of the reasoning behind today’s bloodbath?
