Time will tell. I'm not about to jump off the ledge because a President and GM were fired. I'll start freaking out when players are moved that I wanted kept and dependent on the return.

I think Gorton has done a good job, but there's been a lot of issues with our top players this year. It's not crazy to bring in new management when your season has been a shitshow from start to finish.

I really like Drury as the GM I feel like he's a solid hockey mind.

That being said, I don't want Messier anywhere near upper level management. Hiring him for any role outside of brand ambassador would be a massive mistake.

Actually I think Dolan was the driver of the statement they put out and he got word JD and Gorton were distancing themselves from it and Dolan didn't like that lack of loyalty.

If JD and JG did not agree with the team statement on Wilson and actually did want to distance themselves from it, I am fine with the firing as that would be f***ing gutless and cowardly. I sincerely hope that is not the case, since I have a world of respect for JD and quite liked JG.

I would question Dolan’s approach in this situation, the fact that Drury is as closely linked to JD and Gorton as you can be, and because we now have removed an essential buffer that has existed since Sather took over the team.

Say what you will about Sather, but he was the wall that often kept the tsunami that is Dolan from doing the same type of damage he did elsewhere.
