What would it cost in terms of picks, prospects or players on their ELC??

Probably a bit of salary would have to comeback, depending on the timing of the trade.

No way would Holland ever trade Abdelkader, I seriously doubt that he would deal Nyquist so that only leaves Tatar being available and i just don't see a fit between Detroit and Montreal as Detroit would be seeking a top 4 LHD/RHD in a package deal around Tatar and other pieces and pretty much Montreal needs the exact same thing as we do.

In reality it wouldn't cost anything because Holland would never trade them, just wait and see if Nyquist or Tatar come up in FA and sign them.

In terms of having a fun and healthy discourse online with my friends and family, it is no secret that Detroit needs to improve their group of defenders, so that is a good starting point for gauging value.

From Montreal's perspective, why? Abdelkader specifically is weird, unnecessary fit for Montreal. Tartar and Nyquist make little more sense, but it sounds like Detroit fans want to use them in a package to get a top-4 d-man (which virtually every team in the NHL is looking for). Unless Holland really likes Emelin or Beaulieu, there really isn't a fit.

After last game, none of us like Emelin.

Nope after Saturday's game we want no part of Emelin, Though Beaulieu might be intriguing somewhat.

Is Helm on the table? Well, maybe not since he just signed an extension.

I'd trade you Helm or Abdelkader for an 8 pack of Gatorade. But Holland loves both of them, so I doubt it.

An 8 pack?!?! Give me a cold 20 ounce and we'll call it square, Montreal GM can even take the first sip.

So California
If we traded Abby just for draft picks, Then we might just as well tank. And ownership wont allow it going into the new Arena next year. Holland would clearly want a similar player in return for Gator not picks.

Why? It's not like losing a player like Abby is a big loss for a team? He can be replaced with guys in organization very easily I might add. ( prob not for the grit that he brings though) It doesn't matter anyway because he's not getting traded.
