I agree with you. The fact that within a few years of the rumour, Arizona can’t even pay rent just discredited almost everything about that article.
How can a team being able to pay 15 mil a year to a player become a team that can’t even play rent in their own stadiums or property tax or both and end up playing in a college stadium. It is literally the most embarrassing thing to any professional league.

My preference is to keep him, but the reality is that Treliving's hands are tied because of the situation he inherited.

If Nylander really wants to stay in Toronto.he needs to be willing to compromise. Besides, he will benefit long term financially from other opportunities off the ice if he stays with Toronto. Matthews and Marner need to have a similar mindset if they want to play on a perennial championship contender for many years.

If not, the core cannot and will not stay together, plain and simple.
