I don't see why an Ottawa fan is trying to gauge value of a Nylander + Mrazek combo

Nylander isn't going anywhere unless its for someone like P.Kane, JT Miller

I’d move him for a similar value RHD or a very very high draft pick (Looking at you, Jersey) with minimal cap coming back so you can shop the soft trade and FA market, but moving Willy who’s the one guy making big money in Toronto who’s production goes up from ppg to ppg+ in the post season doesn’t seem like the move to make to get over the hump of first round failures.
You try and move mrazek kerfoot Holl maybe Muzz and maybe engvall and replenish the expended draft capital and try and add another guy or two who bring it in crunch time.

You can look elsewhere. We’re not moving 2OA for a guy who can just walk in 2 years

seems like all the leafs posters want them packaged together.
lol. No. HF posters with no realistic assets want to trade him. The organization doesn't. Most fans don't. Just trade guys.

I can save you some effort though.

If they do, they're really stupid.

Mrazek's buyout is something like a $1M hit. Only an absolute idiot would want to package him with a valuable trade piece.

I don't think this correct. On the contrary, they don't want to give up Nylander and try promulgate trade proposals offering very little and somehow expect to land Gibson as the end result.

Do we need yet another thread for this topic?

I don’t see why you would want to lower Nylander value by adding mrazek to him

Because they need to move Mrazek and good luck trying to do that alone without any incentive.

However, That's over $10M in cap hits so not sure what team bits on that and also gives the Leafs want they want in return.

Best moves the Leafs can make is trying to unload Mrazek, Kerfoot, Muzzin types. I doubt they trade Nylander.

There is literally no sense in trying to "package" these 2 together.

Nylander's appeal is to a good team, that needs additional scoring punch, who thinks they're contenders, who will likely have to move a little bit of money around to make it work.

Mrazek's appeal will be to a team that's likely rebuilding, perhaps has a young goalie they need a tandem partner for, and don't neccessarily see themselves as a contender, but don't want to get tied into a 3-4 year contract with a UFA goalie.

Plus, there's the broader concept of packaging over $10m together, and the difficulty for any team to add that much cap hit in one deal. If the Leafs need to move Mrazek, depending on how the goalie market shakes out, attach a prospect or pick and call it a day.
