Not terrible. As an Isles fan it certainly gives JT the RW he clearly needs.

No Chance LA does this. Toffolli was the kings leading scorer last year and is a huge piece of the scoring puzzle. Ignore the touchdown put up against the leafs this team struggles to score and Strome does not fill in for TT

LA is set with Budaj for the time being, he's playing very well. And no to moving Toffoli.

Not a terrible offer, but LA still says **** no. To get Toffoli it'd take massive overpayment.

Basically the only way the Kings move him is if it's for another 1C like Carter, then they'd move Carter to Toffoli's RW spot and have the new guy as a 2C. Now the only guy like that on the Isles is Tavares which would rightfully be a **** no from you guys

It's a decent offer however no from la Toffoli has proven he can score in la Not many can Not worth the risk to me Halak even at 2.25 is way too much for the kings to have sitting on the bench 65 games or so a year. Also not sure la would add a 3rd i know probably the least valuable thing in the whole trade but Toffoli is by far the best piece in the deal

Would hurt to lose Dal Colle but it would certainly help the isles now.

I can't make a decision. Which means it's most likely fair.

Don't disagree.

I think NYI have to add and substitute Barzal for Strome but LAK take all of 100% of Halak contract and figure it out somewhere else.

I think NYI have to make it a no brainer for LAK to give up Toffoli. As much as I like Barzal, I'd do it.

We have no need for Halak sorry Budja is playing great 2 shutouts in his last 2 games. If la was going to a acquire a goalie it would be someone like miller a ufa to be. Backup goalies in la make 900k -1 at most. Sorry Halak makes far to much to be a king. Scoring 30+ goals in la is something special and i don't see us trading him for anything short of a massive overpayment and i don't see nyi doing that.

Loads of potential but not enough proven coming back for Toffoli in my opinion. Hasn't Strome stalled a bit too?

A move like this would be pretty much writing off our season, losing one of our top scorers for lesser (at present) players.

If we were going in that direction it would need to be in the offseason (if we are struggling to balance the books and resign TT) and forget about Halak.

La does not do this trade. Toffoli has proven to be able to score in this scoreless system that is used in LA. Plus Halak sucks and I would rather have our current goalie playing and he has been very good. This Kings need a goalie BS is over we have no need for any other goalie and if we did it surely would not involve TT

I agree with you that LA does not need a goalie. The low level of shots the kings give up will help get through Quick's injury. I disagree with you that Halak sucks. He is a good goalie who has issues staying healthy.

That would be huge for the Isles now and probably long term. That's a lot of potential value to give up though. That'd hurt the Kings now (which would be great, imo), but potentially set them up long term.

LA says no but will still pick up the phone next time.

We don't need any major deals, nor do we need a goalie or a 3C (I'm guessing that's what Strome is).
One doesn't trade a player like Toffoli for a goaltender.

Strome could play in your top 6 on the wing.

What about swapping Toffoli for carter with less retention on halak

No thanks. There is no need to move any top 6 forward for a goalie we don't need. Plus Carters cap hit is so low it would not be any less retention if a deal was made. We have our challenges scoring so we don't want to move any of the top 6 guys for lesser players. Seriously if your looking to add scoring LA is the last team in the league you should be looking at, we need all the scoring we have plus more.
