That's really bad for Columbus.

At least include Nelson or Strome to make it look like you're trying.

As a Jackets fan, pass.

The Jackets are going absolutely nowhere this season, with a piss poor lack of scoring being a main reason why. Saads one of the few established offensive threats on the team and they're not going to dump him for two older players who've never topped 41 points. Bailey and particularly, Lee, are okay-to-good pieces, but they're not enough to get Saad.

Well, gosh, that depends. Would you accept a proposal of Brandon Dubinsky and William Karlsson for John Tavares, "plus whatever picks as sweeteners and prospects for the cap to work"?

We're overfull to bursting with wingers "that can play up and down the line-up" and need more top-end guys. This is a hideously poor move for the Jackets.

This is just a flat out bad proposal that heavily favors the Islanders. I wouldn't think the CBJ would move Saad, I certainly wouldn't think they would do it for anything less than established youth or high end prospects. Lee and Bailey are more like rusty spare parts.

Don't Islanders fans hate Bailey? Classic overvalue. You're not getting anywhere near Saad with that package.

Better, but still not workable for us. We've got plenty of good winger prospects, and we're not interested in taking back Josh Bailey under pretty much any circumstances whatsoever. Strome is kinda neat but we're happy to just stick with Dubois, and Nelson is doing okay but we've already got Jenner to work with. Neither really represent the sort of high-end guy we need that Saad is.

I wouldn't say hard to get. I personally think he's overrated by Islanders fans.

I know you're not his biggest fan right now but his statement holds true. The one analysis I do appreciate is that Ladd and Lee have similar roles. Lee became more expendable when Ladd joined as Lee was one of the very few who went to the net and parked and was used on the #1PP but now Ladd has that spot.

However, despite losing his PP time, I wouldn't trade Lee until his contract year if he asks for too much. Having two big LW'ers who can park it in front and could be considered league wide some of the best at it is something I wouldn't look to overrate and would look at the rest of the lineup and question the puck distributing on why they aren't more successful.

I totally see your point of him being overrated but the guy does a lot of things most of Isles and NHLers don't do. I really think Nelson and Lee have some good chemistry and hopefully Cappy keeps them together. Love Saad and he's still very young but I doubt that he is the answer. His cap hit is a killer as well.

The Jackets don't have a quantity of wingers problem. You're asking us to move our best forward for more of what we have.

Really zero incentive to move a star winger.

This trade not only makes Columbus worse but takes away one of its few top end forwards.

Yuck.

Only difference is the lack of Islander fans saying how much Saad sucks, what an underrated gem Bailey is, and how Columbus fans are absolute fools for not agreeing.

And don't think we don't appreciate it.

Thats just Saad for Columbus. They aren't trading quality for quantity
