I'm not a big wrestling fan. Loved the CW classic and NXT. Card seems done before, and underwhelming.

yeah, i'm so sour on wrestling in general that i *might* catch this on demand... maybe... but i'm not particularly excited about anything other than the tag match

I know you are down on the product, but don't go full on hate. NXT has put together good shows lately. May not have that same freshness, but it's far from being stale or bad.

maybe, but it hasn't been fresh. Joe/Balor feuded for like... 10 months, for example. They're rotating so few guys through and most guys that get on the show that are "new" are just Indy guys so NXT writers don't have to flesh out any characters for them or anything like that.

The only homegrown talent who's had any sort of success is Baron Corbin.

NXT hasn't been fresh in a while for me.

I liked the era of Kidd vs Zayn vs Neville vs Breeze along with Owens, and Balor coming in. Kidd was awesome down there and saved his career prior to the injury. Such a shame what happened to Breeze and Neville later.

I like Dillinger but he's been destroyed. Shouldn't be on a main card without being built up properly. I like Roode a lot. Hard to make him a heel, one of the rare matches that you can here. Don't care for the ME rematch.

Then don't watch it.

Either that or suck it up butter cup. No one is forcing you to be here

I don't watch NXT regularly, heck I don't even have the network and I won't ever get it BUT I am pumped for TakeOver. :handclap:

I don't get how NXT can't be fresh when they just wiped it out with the brand split. Underwhelming, yes, given the current talent pool (by WM, will probably get worse), but the two rematches are going to be awesome. Nakamura/Joe has a completely different tone leading to Toronto than it did Brooklyn, and the feud was perfectly fine both ways.

It's a brand that is going to have peaks and valleys. And that means two good things have hopefully happened.

The peaks mean they've built up strong characters that are over and ready enough for the main roster.

The valleys mean they've promoted those strong characters to the main roster to hopefully be successful and can start to build up the new blood coming in.

Man this wrestling forum is not what it used to be. So many complaints and negativity.

Tye Dillinger actually getting a feud and big time match? Awesome. Fresh.

Mickie James coming back for a one off? Cool to see. Fresh.

DIY vs Revival is going to tear the house down.

Joe vs Naka should be good. Good build.

The DRC match I'm on the fence about but the three main men's matches have had fantastic builds.

10 months in NXT is like 2 months normal time with only 1 hour of TV a week and not always appearing.

The thing that doesn't have me uber-excited for the AOP/TM61 match is that I've already seen it since it was a dark match at Brooklyn, and I'm guessing they will go one more time to determine a #1 contender. Paul Ellering suspended in a shark cage will be funny though.

Mickie James might be here for a one off, but if she has a good match, I think they're going to sign her. It can give Raw a way to bridge the gap between Roadblock and Wrestlemania to get to Charlotte and Bayley.

For me, this is worth it just for Nakamura/Joe, and to see the best tag team on the planet..The Revival.

Still say they are this generations version of Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard.

Oh, and Roode's entrance should be glorious.

Their A/B concept for weekly shows is awesome. I love how they keep guys/gals off every other week. It makes me want more.

And to your point about negativity, I believe that all stems from too much content. I see everyone worn down. Nobody has any excitement left because every week/month is just a ridiculous amount of content. It's actually forcing us to not watch and be defeated.

This is actually the first time I'm watching a weekend/location takeover on the network while it's actually happening
