Not going to happen for obvious reasons but I would love a bit of a NA produced look into the Russian hockey leagues where Russian hockey personalities are interviewed. That would be really interesting IMO

I like the KHL teams chances... KHL defensemen know how to contain NHL forwards now and Ufa's green gloves line will dominate.

Sorry, forgot it wasn't January 2010.

My first reaction was "Ovechkin should maybe save energy for next season", then I remembered he mostly just stands around.

If anything this will empower him more next season if he ends up bringing the match-goda.ru Cup back to Washington. If he loses I think he will mope.

Is this fine when these guys are signed to nhl contracts?

Would they need to get permission first?

And if injured, are they insured?
It doesn’t matter what they do in the off season, quite a few NHL players play in different rec leagues during the down time. No insurance needed when it’s not a league sanctioned event
