Wonder why the Leafs do this? He's just one of those foot soldier AHL vets so it's no big loss, but given its deadline day I'm choosing to believe the Leafs are making more moves(after 2pm).

Odd move to give away veteran depth from the Leafs. You can never have too many defensemen in the playoffs. Maybe he wanted out.

We gave up FC? But he's, like, the ultimate future asset!

Leafs would be at 49/50 for contracts if/when Mrazek/Clifford/Sateri clear, so this move is probably just to help give them some room/flexibility.

Nashville will consider hiring Dubas after he gets fired this future offseason...

Still, no, sorry.

Purely an AHL move for the Preds. We have been short on D down there, so adding Burke to help a bit up front, losing Allard, meant we needed another D on Milwaukee, and Biega is an experienced body in there. He's not on the radar for the Preds, like 13th or so on the depth chart, so it's just for Milwaukee.

This guy was actually a damn good 7th D for the Canucks. Could go weeks without playing and look like he hadn't missed any time when he stepped back in.
