Bellows is hot garbage. I wonder if he tries his hand at a second tier European league or not?
What's kind of interesting is that the Islanders have signed both Dennis Cholowski and Julien Gauthier, the two selected directly after Bellows. Both are currently pushing for depth positions within the organization and have had good camps.
What is also interesting is that Tage Thompson went later on in the 1st round and his dad Brent was the long time coach of the Islanders' AHL affiliate in Bridgeport. You would have thought they would have had the inside scoop on Tage, and the Islanders were very much a nepotistic organization under Garth Snow, so taking that into account it's even more shocking that he wasn't the pick. It's also shocking they didn't take a flyer on Tage when he was offloaded as a project from STL.

I confused STL with Buffalo.
Elliotte Friedman alluded to Thompson being available for cheap from BUF before he blew up.
