Not much to get excited about up front.
This must be the team for the pre tournament games.
A group of players are busy with SHL play-in like Brandsegg Nygård, Steen, Vesterheim in Mora
Sondre Olden in the Swiss league for La Chaux de Fonds.
Vikingstad and Olimb in the german league DEL are busy with play off atm.
Johannes Joahnnesen and Philip Granath are busy with Play off in Finland.
And then a large group of players are busy with play off semifinals in the norwegian league that are not eligible atm.

From US league: Mathias Emilo Pettersen could maybe join the team. From Texas Stars in AHL. Also Mats Zuccarello looks to miss the play off in NHL with Minnesota, but I'm not excpecting him to join.
Lilleberg also, depends on how far Tampa Bay goes in the play off.

Most likely, yes. Steen and Vesterheim did last year. Especially Vesterheim did quite well. And Brandsegg-Nygård has 26p in 50g for Mora and played good in WCH U20 this year.

Zuccarello - Mathias Emilo Pettersen - Granath
Trettenes - Haga - Vikingstad
Steen - Vesterheim - Nygård
Berg Paulsen - Eskild Bakke Olsen - Granholm

Lilleberg - Johannesen
Bjørgvik Holm - Solberg
Engeland Andersen - Nørstebø
Kåsastul

Arntzen
Haukeland
Normann

This would be nice

Olimb brothers is done imo. Zuccarello is a traitor. Not played in WC since 2016. Time for him to man up. Lets hope Tampa fails. Too bad Lesund and Roselli Olsen is injured. Never liked Olden.

Olden will not play, he has injury problems.

Also a couple of norwegians have signed contracts in SHL lately.
Stian Solberg for Färjestad, Noah Steen for Ørebro and Petter Vesterheim for Malmø. Brandegg Nygård is excpected to sign for an SHL club soon aswell. It will be a good group of norwegians in SHL next year.

Markus Vikingstad(F) plays in the german play off final now for Fischtown against Berlin, he has been on fire in the german play offs with 9 points in 9 games.

Johannes Johannesen(D)(Pelicans) and Philip Granath(F)(Tappara) play against each other in the finnish play off final.

Zuccarello and Minnesota are knocked out, but he always declines.

Emilio Pettersen for Texas Stars. Depends how far they go in the Calder Cup. Same thing with Lilleberg for Tampa.

Here is an updated squad for the matches against Hungary this friday(19.4) and saturday(20.4) in Hungary. New adds are from Stavanger Oilers that were knocked out in the norwegian play off semis last week.

I excpect a team close to full strength for the next double matches 26,27 april against Denmark

Kind of strange to see that Trettenes, Karlsen, Hoff and Klavestad all have declined from Stavanger?

With Zuccarello always saying no, Lilleberg and Pettersen most likely in playoffs and Olden, Rosseli Olsen and Lesund injured this could be bad.

Though they will get someone from Storhamar and Vålerenga after the finals.

Maybe Trettenes, Karlsen, Hoff and Klavestad needs some rest after a long season.

Trettenes and Hoff should be in a final WC roster, and Klavestad and Karlsen are decent candidates.

Thoresen is considering joining Worlds. Said so in interview after victory over Vålerenga today. (He is playing the finals with Storhamar now). 40 years, but still good, (77p / 56g) and has a ton of experience.

In: Trettenes, Hoff, K.A Olimb, Brandsegg-Nygård, Vesterheim, Nørstebø, Steen.

Out: Hermansson, Øby-Olsen, Edvardsen, Opsahl, Østby, Lalande.

Klavestad and Olden has declined, while Haga has been told he is not in the mix this year.

Why would Haga not be in the mix? He has been at WC since 2016 every year except one.

He has been good all season. He should be top 6. Zucca, Thoresen, Olsen, Brandsegg-Nygård, K.A Olimb and Trettenes/Granath. But then you could have Martinsen as well from Storhamar, and maybe Pettersen or Vikingstad as well!

Seems likely. And Thomas Olsen from Vålerenga. Hurrød could be there from Storhamar.

Olsen 1.line for Vålerenga. Been really good. Goalscorer. 37 goals in 60 games this season. Could compete with Granath.

But yes. Those two lines seems likely with a full squad. And maybe Trettenes-Olimb-Olsen/Granath in 3rd.
