How many contenders have the draft capitol that the Battalion would want. What's the return for Romani? Could 1 LeBlanc be moved? #18 is putting up numbers. What to do with a lame import?

My guess on the worth of Romani is; 2-2nds, 3-3rds.
I wonder if there’s any value in the surplus of 2006-07 born D.

Back in: 19 Nolan Laird, 23 Stepan Chukharev. Out: 10 Dylan Richter, 26 Natan Teshome. The always popular 11 / 7 alignment remains in effect. 1 Charlie Larocque has the net, 33 Owen Flores for NIA. Attendance could be 2600 – 2700.

Why did not McKivor start
McIvor should have played last night. It’s not that we were playing a basement dwelling team. Oulahen said it himself “they have a high octane offence” Why would you put in a goaltender that isn’t confident & cant’ stop a beachball ?

Having said that, what happens “if” McIvor gets hurt. We have no backup that is worthy of the net.

McIvor should be in net every game until a worthy backup can be found IMO. Hopefully Adam Dennis is working on this.

07 back up goalie in a non competitive year. Let’s relax and give the kid more than 13 games. Team is shaping up nicely for next season

I guess you can't blame the kid, you can only get better by playing. I do question the coach leaving him in to get lit up for 6 goals. Then, with 4 minutes left in the period, throw in your #1 stone cold! Good way to pull a groin.

Anyway, how many chances did #21 have? Could of had half a dozen by my count.

We can’t continue with Larocque as a backup. He is not ready for the OHL quite yet and would benefit from a stint with Powassan or something of that nature. This is a guy who was on a very good team last year (who was considered a C ranked prospect in October for the NHL draft due to his size, last years stats, etc) but I think the sample size is big enough to say he is not ready for the league. He’s at the bottom of the league in numbers… and has lost a few winnable games. If McIvor had not been hurt, I’d say North Bay would’ve been ahead of Brampton and Brantford in the standings. It’s better for Charlie’s development to get his confidence back in another league then try again next season than to keep hanging him out to dry… not good getting pulled back to back in your rookie season. Give Nadon a shot? Meredith?

I agree the team is looking nice for next year…. Chemistry with the young guys coming together nicely, Enright looks like a stud, Carey a future Pro. But unless we want to play Mike basically every game, we are at high risk of missing the playoffs running with Charlie…. He needs more time to develop. Mike is an athletic/reflex style goalie and those guys are highest risk for injury when they play all the time and come in cold….

Interesting info provided by RogersTV very early in the game. NB Line Combos started with: 6 Jacob Therrien, 21 Ethan Procyzsyn and 16 (wait for it) Kyle Potts. Pottsy last played for the Troops in 2018. I guess Owen VanSteensel’s name was too long for the white space, so the techs came up with a shorter named 16. Well done, Rogers.

Now there was a win I didn’t see coming. Yes, OSH was missing 2 elite forwards. But they are also a top team playing at home vs. an 8th or 9th place team. Well done, Battalion. The line of 11 Carey, 20 Smith and 29 Amidovski was cooking again. Don’t know if they were recently assembled or have been together for a while.

It was 20/11/23 for a few games before 23 was injured and they were starting to roll. After 23 was injured they moved 29 om to that line and they’ve been fantastic since.
That group of 4 forwards plus Enright have been the most pleasant surprise with this group this year. Well sorry I should included EP21 and his hot start. Things are looking up for next season and likely a couple more beyond that. Well done Mr Dennis and company.
