Kings have really improved themselves this offseason. I think if they were in the East they'd be a playoff team. Too bad they're not and will likely finish bottom 3 in the West as a result.

Earthquakes player, on loan to Reno (minor) team, pulled from Lake Tahoe and in Reno hospital in critical condition.

No details as to circumstances or injuries.

According to KCBS radio tonight, he was swimming and called for assistance. He was unresponsive and had no pulse when pulled from the lake. He was revived and sent to a medical center in Reno. As of tonight, he had emerged from a coma, and was responding.

At this point the Warriors are selling players rings. They should sign Barkley and get him that ever important hard fought championship.

That's not fair. Barkley never had the talent around him Curry has.

Though it is funny how wrong he was about GS.

What? It's not about Curry vs Barkley. It's a reference to his calling the Warriors a girly, jump shooting team and proclaiming a team that plays the way they do could never win a title. They now have 2. He never got 1.

Just used Curry as the comparable to Barkley since he's their best player.

Oh look, the A's have become the farm team for the rest of MLB again. Yawn.

Billy Beane wouldn't last a day as an NHL GM.

So he should have kept two relievers on a team going nowhere?

The only thing that disappoints me is the return. Could have done better.

Sandoval signs back.with tbe Giants, Chris Carter signs back with the A's.

Bad teams making bad decisions.

There really isn't anything to lose for the team to do it since it's a minor-league deal and since they're not paying him anything substantial, it's fine. It's just not going to mean anything because he's too far gone.

It's not as if they're bad signings because of cost or term, its just the teams are bad and would be better off looking at the kids instead of rethreads.
