Anyone wonder how many players are going to the Olympics with nagging injuries?


Anyone think these guys might not play the "insignificant" games
(ie: Switzerland) so as to reduce injury risk? If I were the GM of any NHL team I would discuss this with the players at least hoping this might be the case.

Speaking of Näslund, same goes for his fellow Swede. If Foppa goes, he will be plagued by that pesky groin injury he is nursing at the moment.

I think signing on for this year's olympics was possibly one of the most ill-timed moves by this PA coming off a year in which a good amount of players didn't play, Kipprusoff - check, Naslud - check, Foppa - check, Neidermayer - check, Jovanovski - check, etc, etc, etc

Kiprusoff and Forsberg did play last year, Forsberg with MoDo and Kiprusoff for Timrå.
