Home renovations that were planned for summer/fall but I have to check my lottery tickets in hopes that I can afford a sheet of plywood.:sarcasm:
How about the price of cucumbers? I usually don't notice items that go up in price at grocery stores but yesterday i did have to do a double take. English cucumbers, 2 for $5. Holy crap!

After navigating the internet for a while to figure out how to purchase Rocky IV The Directors Cut available to view in Canada, I finally figured it out.

Looking forward to watching it tonight with the family.

You've missed some good hockey...

I know the effort and grit has been good so far causing some heated games, and a lot of nights every position is clicking at once, but the difference between regular season and playoffs is too much. The way the average leaf fan acted last regular season (2021 shortened season), was a bit ridiculous.

"WHEN we win the Canadian division and play in the conference finals"
"WHEN we win the cup"
"Jack Campbell is my teddy bear prince, so loveable"

Basically all of Twitter. They still say the same about Campbell but make it known they hate Andersen and everything about him.

I learned not to buy into the hype the Leafs give us anymore. The truly good hockey starts in the playoffs, I can do more productive things than choose TV entertainment until then TBH.

I had tickets to both yesterday's and tonight's game in Van/Seattle. I don't even live in BC, I just flew out west for the games.

Absolutely devasted, to say the least.

I've chosen to watch the games this season without buying into any long term hype. Just enjoying that they are fun to watch and good in the regular season.

Plus Matthews may go down as one of the greats of the game and possibly the greatest Leaf of all time .. I figured why am I going to miss out on watching him play in real-time because I'm mad at the team for their playoff failure.

Smart man/woman(?). In the end, it's just entertainment. These people who commit heart and soul to the team are saddling themselves with unnecessary stress.

Thanks! I won't be too bad for awhile but once they're all moving around it will be hectic. It's already chaos with twin boys.

Making Leaf fans out of them yet.
Long time lurker, first time replier (had to reset my password type long time).

Congratulations, my wife is ready to pop out our second followed by our third shortly thereafter. I hope to watch some leafs games in the future and not because of covid regulations.

I got over covid and came out of isolation 5 days ago. My wife and 3 kids are still 3 days left on isolation. Just trying to get everyone back up and running before Christmas! Go Leafs go, and hopefully the season continues to roll and our boys can keep playing the way the were before the extended break.

Im happy they arent going to the Olympics. Focus on the task here at home, and chase that elusive cup.

That seems wise. I'm still thinking about the playoffs and the future but definitely spending less time doing that, and more time taking each game as it comes. Not sure when we'll be able to do that again but I digress ...

Watching other shows depending on the night (Oak Island, Ancient Aliens, catching up or re-runs of Ghost Nation, Holzer Files), I am playing hockey Wed nights as well. Hoping to also catch up on American Horror Story with my wife.

Haven't added much more gaming (PS4) than I normally do though.

I have been able to squeeze some extra time into the new hobby I picked up last summer - building scale model Great Lakes ships.

Preparing my Es335 style kit guitar for a Christmas Bigsby:), while self isolating due to Covid. :( Thankfully everyone’s vaccinated with very mild cases (which seems to be the MO of this variant).:thumbu: I think this is the beginning of the end of this pandemic, but that’s my gut feeling. Rewatching the Leafs slaughter the Oilers later this afternoon.:D I want to wish everyone here a great Christmas. When your out there amongst the Christmas bustle, don’t panic, be kind, respectful and thoughtful to each other while being true to your values and doing what’s right for you. Peace and Love.

I love guitars. If you feel like sharing, I'd be interested in pics and hearing about your experience building and playing this guitar as I'm interested in buying a ES335 style guitar one day. Not in the near future, but maybe some day ...
