Unlikely, and that's not because devils fans are all in on Butcher or something. He's quite literally the only LHD we have lol. So realistically, I can't see the team moving him before we fill some of those other holes, and if they did, it would certainly have to involve a LHD coming back, not a forward.

Considering NJ defense is absolutely terrible, it would take an Absolute overpayment to get Severson.

#3 defenseman who can be a top pairing D with a better partner. he is only 26 and still pretty young.
not to mention that contract. 4.1 for 3 more years.
If we trade him, our top pairing is Subban and Butcher.
if we trade him I want a top young defensemen coming back and a nice pick.
