We don't want Jacobs, the picks have no meaning, I'm not interested in Cammalleri, he's too old for what we're looking for.

I know you guys want to recreate the Windsor team, but you got to offer more for Cam. We want a young, cheap, LW or Left handed C. I personally would want Zacha, but understand that Devils would not do that.

Ok. So Boucher/Blandisi + 2017 1st for Cam Fowler

Neither of those guys is good enough to be the main piece coming back for Fowler. Zacha or Henrique are the only guys I see being that piece and I don't think NJ deals either of them.

Camm doesn't have enough value due to injuries and 3 years on his contract even though he's probably a fit. He would slot in nicely on the top line there.

The Devils aren't really in a position to deal Zacha so what else do they have?

Boucher? Maybe. But he's not nearly enough as a base. He had .5 ppg last year but in too small of a sample size. He could be a 2LW but is far too unproven.

Blandisi? See Boucher except even less unproven.

2017 1st? As a base I guess this makes sense except the Ducks are trying to win now. Getzlaf and Perry aren't getting younger.

Other prospects? Quenneville might be a better fit. He is almost ready to be in the league but will probably need a year or two to be an impact player and even then who knows if he can be a top 6 guy.

I'm not a huge Fowler fan personally but I don't think we can figure out a deal anyway.

No...

The top-6 left winger is where? No.

Reid Boucher is a top 6 LW.
He played on the Devils 2nd line with Zajac and Palmieri scoring 19 points in 39 games (40 point pace). All of this at 22 years old. He will only get better next season as he matures.

One could argue Joe Blandisi would perform well alongside Getzlaf/Kesler too.

Really and truly NJ fans, Zacha is the only asset that makes sense for the Ducks in return for Fowler.

Fowler would be too expensive, not sure if he's worth what it would take. He had 7 more points than Severson...

Orlov would be a better target if Caps makes him available of course.

Exactly. So Cammalleri.

Fowlers a good player but hes just a little to pricey for the devils right now. We don't really have a stock pile of good prospects so trading zacha just doesn't make sense for us. But I understand why Anaheim would want him.

I'd rather protect four defensemen (Fowler included) and lose Silfverberg than move Cam for a package like that.

Easy no.

I don't think Ducks fans would ever agree to this deal on here. HFBoards is too focused on getting young 25 or under forwards when those players aren't traded too often.

I've said all along I think a Cammalleri for Fowler swap is one I can see both teams making. It really all depends on the money situation in Anaheim and whether they are primarily shipping out Fowler to free up salary or to free up a spot for their young defenders. If it's the latter and they could comfortably afford to take on Cammalleri, he would round out their top six very nicely. If they're looking to win-now, Cammalleri is a great option for that. You're getting low-end 1st liner production out of him on a team that struggles to put up points in NJ, alongside Getzlaf-Perry could be very interesting.

I think if the Ducks go for a younger forward in exchange for Fowler, they're likely going to get either a younger prospect with a lot of potential, like a Zacha from the Devils,or a middle-six player who is a bit of a question mark in terms of upside. Boucher is an example of the latter although I'd expect teams to offer better players than Boucher. If they're looking to compete soon, I'm not sure if that helps them. Getzlaf/Perry/Kesler aren't too old so they may be able to wait on the development of a Zacha-like prospect but it's still a risk. Cammalleri might give them the guaranteed production -- although with injury concerns -- they are looking for.

Michael Cammalleri, Josh Jacobs and a fourth round pick for Cam Fowler and a 7th rounder

Sound off

Why? Would Anaheim want a 34 year old Mike Cammalleri, He was proposed in another thread and Duck fans shot it down. If Anaheim moves Fowler they will want most likely a young cost controlled LW not an aging Cammalleri. Pretty sure that BM shoots this down in a heartbeat.
