there was nothing iffy about it , Ritchie cross checked him off his feet into our player

and Ritchie would have had to go through the Avs player and past a player on our team to get to the puck carrier if his intent was to actually get to the Avs player with the puck which is a ridiculous spin to try to justify the cross check
All Ritchie had to do was stop skating and post up, and the puck carrier would have bounced off him and given us the puck back lol. Or Ritchie could have smashed him with a body check instead of hitting the guy in front of him at the time. Pretty bad play by Ritchie.

The Avs player actually gave him a nice shield to bide his time and then rock the puck carrier, but he wasn't using his head and took a dumb penalty instead.

He’s still an idiot who takes inopportune penalties. At least it didn’t cost us in regulation and to be fair it should’ve been four on four but God forbid the refs even gives the Leafs a fraction of PP time, calling the “embellishment” on Brodie.

Why was he even out with 3 mins to go? Just go with 3 lines

Scored s goal but was more detrimental than not. That penalty at the end was dumb as it gets.
Yeah and so many of us can score every now and then... playing with the best players. But look at him on the bench.... looking like an einstein for surely. He ain't dirt. He ain't gangsta. He gotta leave the town. Soon.

Pretty much every other player in that game was playing at a higher tempo than Ritchie. He finished when he got the chance but I would have shut him down in the 3rd.

Right. Leafs are lucky Reilly didn't get injured on the play. He went down with his leg buckling.

Stupid play.

He comes across as a bigger, lazier, less talented Alex Galchenyuk who is capable of both scoring and burning you in the same game.

Just a very very horrible call from a ref with 2 minutes left in a game .. talk about hometown reffing and trying to help out Avs .. made me puke .. and next one on Brodie was even worse .. da whole last few minutes and OT made me sick .. blaming Ritchie for that one is just flat out wrong it was da only and right hockey play and it happens in playoffs every single shift
