I thought it was awesome. I can't stand Joe Beninati's voice, so to listen to Nick was a treat. Still had to listen to Laughlin (the only voice in the NHL worse than Beninati's) but it was an anti-ducks call by Nick any way you put it so that's okay by me.
I also recorded it because I was flipping back and forth between that and SNL

I was watching the WSH feed. Laughlin gave Nick a nice intro, saying he had known Nick since the 80's when he played for the Kings and was a good friend of his. There was some friendly banter and then they both settled in for the call.

I know Nick has a ton of respect for Bob but I can imagine that he's waiting for him to retire. It has to be a dream of his to be a television commentator.
