Agreed, one thing you lose with out Bob is his awesome stories.

Bottom line, he is better than Bob now in this point in time, only because time has passed and Bob has aged and he is just not the announcer he used to be. It happens.

I've been listening to both men for their duration with the Kings. Bob came here in 1973, and I believe Nick came here in 1981. Nick was originally Bob's color man on TV before Jim Fox, then Nick switched to radio play-by-play, I think around 1991, when Jim Fox retired. Not sure about the dates.

Anyway, Bob was superior in his prime. But that just isn't the case anymore.

Bob signed on for another year. I think if the Kings win the Cup again, he just might pull the pin after next season ends.
