Leddy doesnt ever return a 2C
That's fine. Isles can keep Leddy and look to other options for #2C: extend Nelson ,move Bailey back to center or get into the Duchene bidding sweepstakes (if he is available July 1st).

Trade Weber and a 1st to NYI for a late round pick as that is one fugly contract that doesn't end until 2025/26. This will allow Montreal to escape one of the terrible contract they have as no one would take on Carey Price at $10.5M for another 7 years given how he's performing.

That was a joke, right? Weber deserves every penny on this contract. Have you seen him play this season ffs? 11pts in 16 games +7 and he's everything Shea Weber is supposed to be. Good joke.

Weber won't play for 1M in his last 2 seasons....Nashville would get the recapture penalty.

I'm not sure he'll play for 3M in 2022-2023.

His cap hit is somewhat low so he has great value on the market.

Seeing him play post injury...i agree with you. I was concerned how he would be after a pretty serious injury, but he looks great.

As far as Leddy goes, NYI isn't messing around with their defense right now, maybe they'll re-evaluate in the offseason. Cost would be a 1st plus or a 2C though.

Do not care how low the salary is,when the caphit is $8m per on a long-term deal for a 32/33 yr old Weber.

Gotta shop him to a team playing cap floor tricks. A team that needs low salary + high cap hit like Arizona or Ottawa.

You didn't understand my point. He will retire when his salary is gonna be low. He'll retire at 37 or 38.
