Good Morning,

A quick question - I was hoping to subscribe to the NHL TV Single Team Subscription for LA Kings. Currently on the NHL TV Subscription website, there's only a single "2018-2019 Offseason Pass" Subscription for $9.99/mo.

Are the regular subscriptions only available at certain times of the year? Like right before a season is starting or something?

Also wanted to ask - if anyone here with a subscription knows - can you watch older games, like from previous seasons, or is the subscription only valid for the current season playing (or about to begin)?

Thanks!

There used to be a NHL vault subscription that was included with the official one a while back, but I don't think they had every game, just a bunch of select ones that were notable. Either way, I've long walked away from the subscriptions and the Center Ice packages. The blackout restrictions are absolutely brutal. I think I can only watch like 30% of the games typically. It is especially bad here in Nevada because of the Sharks and Golden Knights, and the Kings faceoff against them a lot...

I would look for cheaper variants...

It's relatively easy to bypass the blackouts if you stream. Just do a google search and you'll find what you need.

I'm pretty sure you can only buy the season subscription starting in September before preseason. There did used to be the vault which had every game from the past 5 or so season and then random playoff games/series and some really old games from the 50's and 60's. When the NHL hired MLB.tv to run its streaming platform, they no longer have the old "Vault" but I'm pretty sure you can watch games from the time it switched which was in the spring of 2017 if I'm not mistaken.

Old games are no longer available. Just the prev season until the new season starts. Didn't realize mlb.tv took it over, seemed more reliable than before.

Two thoughts on this:

Firstly, if you’re a TMobile subscriber, you may get a free year of NHL.tv as a perk later this year.

Secondly, if you’re savvy, there’s a website called www.reddit.com and there are sub/r/eddits in which you can find NHL streams that may be of questionable legality.

there's another solid alternative if you're a LazyMan
