Man that would be an exciting deal.
My ONLY hangup on Byfield - he hasn't played much at center. Is that purely because of the Kings loaded center spine? Or do they really think he's better off on the wing?
So. With no playoffs this year either we should look to trade atleast : Zucker, greenway jokiharju this deadline and Krebs, Byram , Samuelson cozens this summer

We should not "look to trade" Byram. We should look to keep him long-term unless he's not interested or if the trade offer of a lifetime comes around.

Until there is leadership in place that has a vision for what type team they want to be, i.e. firewagon, NJ death trap, LA physical, I think it is folly to move assets like Cozens at the deadline. UFAs? But roster moves are too late at this point and likely better made innthe offseason.

He’ll use this winning streak and the success of the Amerks as his reason for doing nothing at the deadline.
Then they’ll use the heroic run out of the top ten in the draft with no pressure on them as the reason to do nothing in the offseason.
Whichever assistant coaches have their contract up may be replaced. That’s about it.
We will be out of next year’s playoff race by the new year again and he will cross his fingers for another heroic run to missing the playoffs by close enough to buy him yet another year of doing f***ing nothing.

It's the one (and maybe only) thing he's competent at.
Either that, or he really doesn't HAVE anything going on or plans for the trade deadline.
Hmmmm... I know where my bet would lie on that one.

I don't like this silence around Zucker and Greenway, in theory Adams could have signed an extension with them a long time ago.

What if they win two or three? I don't see the point, but it would be stupid to lose them for nothing at the end of the season. Sign them before the TDL or trade them, the team is not going to the playoffs anyway and I see this almost every season when a team starts winning games without pressure and then still picks in the top 10 in the draft.

I think it's a bit of both. I think Byram is actually pretty good......and Dahlin makes him even better.

A 2nd? For Laughton? Hell no. He's at BEST a 3C on a good team, but more likely a 4C on a contender. He is in no way, shape or form a 2C on a team that has playoff aspirations.

The rest of our D-men aren't that good. Especially in their own zone.
I'd still be quite interested to see what Byram-Sammy look like in an extended stretch.

Byram was good in Colorado a few years ago, who was he paired with then? Then he struggled, maybe because of his concussions, but in principle I have no problem with the Byram - Dahlin pairing.
