No team scares me more than Washington themselves. Since February 1 no playoff team has given up more goals against than them (3.40 coming into tonight's finale). If they can't find their way against Montreal they realistically weren't going to do it against anyone.
Montreal is certainly capable of up-ending them. Suzuki has been red hot. Caufield & Laine are a couple of guys that can do damage in scramble plays. Washington needs to tighten up in a hurry and you wonder if they're capable of quickly taking charge and commanding the game to that extent. We'll see if they have the sense, focus, discipline and execution to go out and do it. There's little doubting their intensity and resilience. They should have an experience advantage, though I'm unsure if it's that decisive given there's more pressure on them as hosts. I sort of expect a hot mess of a series and we'll see if they're still standing at the end of it.
