Come on MJ. This is not some utopian situation where someone calls the cops and they show up in less than a minute. All this happened within 5mins. Base on the behavior below, Biz did the right thing.

Just look at these dipshits. Already beating up on staff at the golf course hours before their encounter with Biz.

Irish mob, and already lubed and violent. Called it exactly.

Lavi is not a good coach. I said that after his first year here. I don't think his coaching style works anymore. Maybe it did decades ago. Not anymore.

Okay yeah that’s pretty damning for sure.

Not really. It was already escalated. Biz just didn’t want it happening on the floor. Which I can fully appreciate.

And PS — I have always disliked Biz. Even now, I’m not a fan.

But let’s not paint him as the bad guy. Bad guys don’t do 1 on 7 or whatever.

Give the man his props.

Come on dude. No it doesn’t. Police take forever (especially in a place like Scottsdale), and all that would do is tell the idiots that the have like 10min to do whatever they want to do, and scram outta there.

I’m not a violent man, like at all, but justice seemed served

It looks like these people are indeed thugs who deserve lawful punishment.

I’ve diffused and de escalated a few situations before irl. There is more than 1 way.

I really didn’t know “Irish Travelers” was a thing, but apparently they frequent the Phoenix area at times…. Crazy Gypsies…I haven’t seen one non-negative interaction written about them online so far lol…
They are scum. No respect for anybody and will rob you blind if given the chance. I know a couple of people who've had shitty encounters with Irish Travellers.

Different group but similar vibe: everyone who's worked in the golf industry knows about "the gypsies" in the DMV. They're a group of presumably Romani who drive around in Rolls Royces or similar and just cause chaos.

They always have huge wads of cash they flash around and seem to be 'in construction'. There's a mob/family type of feel to everything. They don't usually get violent with staff but they will harass and steal and damage property and break every rule while holding up the course. You're lucky to get your golf cart back by dark, in one piece.

They've been banned from several places but keep coming back under different names.

Huge "don't give a single shit" factor that matches this incident.

Romanian? Probably the same ones responsible for the credit card swiper fraud in the DMV too.

Randomly watching On The Fly highlights from last night’s games around the league, and seen at least 2 examples of “significant pressure” on goalies in connection with goals scored that were far more impactful than Lappy’s last night that were nonetheless uncalled as GI. They’re approaching NFL levels of What’s a Catch” with regard to “What’s a Goal”.

Never cared much for this guy before, but I do now.

The first signal that Bissonnette was doing just fine came from Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who tweeted out a hilarious text exchange between he and the former Arizona Coyote as the story was making the rounds.

Turns out it was seven guys, not six:
"Took some but gave more." If that isn't on every NHL enforcer's tombstone some day, what are we even doing here?

Bissonnette went on to explain how it's a family restaurant type atmosphere at Houston's, and he didn't feel there was anyone in the establishment who could help out the staff and diffuse the situation.

Bissonnette said he believes it was seven guys in total. The fight spilled over into the parking lot and then to a nearby CVS. "Got taken down a couple times," he said. "I got bootf---ed in the head, three times by the CVS. Luckily, didn't get knocked out."

They asked one guy to leave, and then one guy kept getting in the manager's face and put his hands on him. That went on for about 30, 45 seconds."

So they had one guy who was particularly out of control and asked to leave, and the other guys brigaded the manager.
