Will be interesting to see who goes from Canada. Wonder if Weber will go? Got to think Hall, RNH and Eberle go as well.

I expect he won't be going just like last year because Hockey Canada deemed his contract is too costly to insure.

If I was Hudler I'd tell them to shove it.
I'd say he might have, if the Czechs hadn't got a new coach since the olympics. However, the one that shafted him got the boot.

Going:

D. Perron (EDM) - Canada
K. Bieksa (VAN) - Canada
K. Turris (OTT) - Canada

Have said they are going:

A. Sekera (CAR) - Slovakia
Ch. Ehrhoff (BUF) - Germany
A. Sulzer (BUF) - Germany
P. Rinne (NSH) - Finland
J. Hudler (CGY) - Czech Republic
Z. Girgensons (BUF) - Latvia

Declining:

S. Bergenheim (FLA) - Finland - Need some rest after injury
A. Barkov (FLA) - Finland - Florida don't let him go
H. Sedin (VAN) - Sweden - Need some rest after some injuries

You can change Slovakia's Sekera to no. He is undergoing a surgery of abdominal muscles.

JVR/Kessel/Phaneuf/Bernier not going.

Reimer a maybe.
Bozak most likely.

Josi confirmed for Switzerland. Brunner/Weber highly rumoured.

Streit and Diaz play each other in the first round, one would be available.

Going: Backlund.

That's it for Sweden at the moment, Läck and Gunnarsson are rumored.

And the "new" coach is the one who didn't take him to Vancouver when he signed in Russia.

Anyway Hudler is confirmed.

Huh. Reminds me a bit of Jussi Jokinen then. He too got royally shafted by our then-coach concerning Vancouver, but bore no ill will and actually played for him the same spring. And again two years later.

For some people, the call of the jersey obviously supercedes any personal animosity, if any is left to linger.
